We believe in creating a work environment that allows you to work when and where you want, enables you to communicate freely with your co-workers and managers, and ensures your safety and well-being.
The Uninor Way:
Our vision and values, our codes of conduct and a set of leadership expectations form the basis for what we call ‘The Uninor Way’. It is a common way of working across the Telenor Group, and is instrumental in delivering a coherent experience across the Group to our colleagues, our customers, our partners and other stakeholders. We believe that a strong company culture is the most powerful way to build a sustainable and responsible business.
Harvesting expertise from a diverse workforce:
We are an equal opportunity employer and also encourage people from diverse backgrounds to work with us. Diversity means we include people regardless of gender, religion, nationality or disability. We believe our diverse workforce gives us an extraordinary opportunity to harvest knowledge and pioneer ideas from different cultures.
Open offices to foster innovations and collaboration:
Most of our offices have open work spaces. We do not believe in cubicles and fixed seats, because working in a modern environment means collaborating across disciplines and geographies. Both our physical and our virtual workspaces are designed to allow ad-hoc meetings and project teams to get right down to business. You can sit next to the MD one day and the intern the next. Our open offices make it easy to communicate, solve problems and share knowledge. Not least, they make us more efficient.
Responsible business practices:
Uninor focuses on eliminating or controlling work-related hazards and risks, and on promoting health at work. We continuously strive to improve our performance related to health, safety and security and the environment (HSSE). It is important for us to discover and deal with threats that could harm not only our employees, but also employees of our vendors, partners and subcontractors. We work closely with our business partners to identify and mitigate risks. All our partners must sign our Supplier Conduct Principles, and we perform frequent inspections on site. We have also developed an awareness program for HSSE which is used to educate everyone performing work for or on behalf of Uninor. Uninor is also the first company in Indian telecom to obtain three critical certifications from the BSI (British Standards Institute).
