Mobile Number Portability is the facility which allows you to shift to any operator of your choice and still retain your old number.

And just about anyone willing to make a change can change. You can switch from CDMA to GSM and retain the same number by simply purchasing a new handset for GSM service. You can also switch from Postpaid to Prepaid after clearing all your outstanding bills, if any.You will need to pay a small porting fee of just Rs.19 (non refundable) besides the Uninor Sim card.

It is however important to note that on shifting, your previous balance, validity, Value Added Services (if any), or any other benefits will not be carried forward.

And in case you want to cancel your porting request, you can submit a written cancellation request at a Uninor store within 24 hours of making the porting request.
